Description
–
Series LF223, LF223S Lead Free* High Capacity Water Pressure Reducing Valves are used in commercial, industrial, and institutional applications to reduce incoming water pressure for protection of plumbing system components and to reduce water consumption. It consists of a Lead Free* brass body construction (2 1/2 in. is iron), enlarged diaphragm, spring cage and seat orifice for super capacity, sealed spring cage for waterworks pit installations and an optional thermal expansion bypass. Available with NPT threaded female inlet and NPT female threaded outlet with (LF223-S) or without (LF223) strainer. Maximum Working Pressure: 300psi (21 bar), Adjustable Reduced Pressure Range: 25 to 75psi (172 to 517 kPa), Standard Pressure Setting: 50psi (345 kPa).

Good water flow now!
This unit regulates the water pressure feed to our motorhome. Previous regulators reduced the flow to a trickle but this one provides excellent flow while regulating the pressure to my new setting of 40 psi. It is a bit bulky and heavy for this use. We are happy to put up with the size and weight for this flow.

Works great for lawn irrigation
Put in a lawn sprinkler system but wasnt getting the flow needed. I had to open the previous prv wide open to get my sprinklers to work but was putting it at pressure above 100psi. With this new prv I am able to set it at 60psi and get all the flow I need for the sprinklers to work.
Wish it had a mesh filter screen built into the body. Had to buy that separately and it took up more piping space that I didnt have.
