These are excellent manifolds for heating with PEX pipe. The manifold is 1 inch male on one end and 1 inch female on the other. The outlets are all 3/4 inch male. To attach to the outlets you need a female device like a coupling, a valve or a pipe adapter, but NOT a fitting adapter. Yes, but the R20 fittings (the manifold outlets are just pipe ends) and QS adapters will make it pretty expensive. If you're going for quick and dirty and cheap, why not just use an EP or copper manifold with PEX crimp outlets and connect the hePEX to them directly? On the other hand, if you're willing to pay for R20 fittings and QS adapters, why not use a Wirsbo EP manifold that you'll be able to balance?
