Q: Can pex "copper fitting" adapters be soldered directly into another brass fitting? The brass to brass fit doesn't seem as snug as the copper to brass. Thanks.

Yes, you can solder the fitting adapter directly to another brass fitting. Typically, contractors will sweat the fitting adapter directly to a brass ball valve as this is common practice.
