Overview
Designed for installation on potable water lines to reduce high inlet pressure to a lower outlet pressure. The integral strainer makes this device most suitable for residential and commercial water systems requiring frequent cleaning because of sediment and debris. The direct acting integral by-pass design prevents buildup of excessive system pressure caused by thermal expansion. The balanced piston design enables the regulator to react in a smooth and responsive manner to changes in system flow demand, while at the same time, providing protection from inlet pressure changes.
Noticed one day that toilet made louder noises while filling; and then later noticed in basement water was dripping from hot water heater pressure relief valve and also fittings around the water meter.
Attached my pressure value to hose spigot and pressure measured 70 psi. The water regulator range was listed as 30 to 50 psi. I tried to adjust it but it stayed at 70.
So I ordered this regulator from SupplyHouse and it arrived in just a couple days. Although a ½" shorter in overall length than the original regulator, there was enough "give" in the way the piping was done to easily install this new regulator.
