We are looking for a Senior Manager, User Experience (UX) to join our Customer Experience Team. This individual will report into our Director of Customer Experience, and will elevate how design decisions connect to customer research and measurable business outcomes. This individual will be responsible for leading and growing a team of UX Designers, ensuring design work is grounded in research rather than intuition, and serving as the primary voice for UX in executive-level conversations. This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX designers, setting standards for craft, rigor, and consistency across projects
  • Establish and enforce a research-informed design process: every major design decision should trace back to a customer insight, usability finding, or behavioral data point
  • Partner closely with Customer Research to translate findings (usability testing, surveys, session data, voice-of-customer) into actionable design direction
  • Own UX best practices and design standards across the org, including accessibility, information architecture, and interaction design patterns for our e-commerce and app experiences
  • Represent UX work and rationale directly to executive and senior leadership, translating design decisions into business terms (conversion, retention, engagement)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, and IT to ensure design solutions align with broader marketing and product strategy
  • Build a repeatable framework for prioritizing UX initiatives based on customer impact and business value
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and timelines across multiple concurrent design workstreams
  • Champion the thoughtful integration of AI-driven tools and solutions within the UX team, identifying opportunities to enhance design workflows and drive innovation across the customer journey

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
  • 10+ years of UX leadership experience, including 2+ years directly managing designers
  • Demonstrated track record of using customer research (qualitative and quantitative) to drive design decisions, not just aesthetic execution
  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end ownership: research input, design rationale, and measurable outcome
  • Experience presenting design work and strategy to executive stakeholders, comfortable defending decisions with data and reasoning
  • Fluency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma required); familiarity with analytics platforms (Amplitude or similar) is a plus
  • E-commerce experience strongly preferred; B2B or trade/distribution industry experience is a plus
