Accounts Payable Intern (Remote)
SupplyHouse.com, an innovative and industry leading e-commerce company, is looking for an Accounts Payable Intern to work with us virtually this summer! This individual will gain hands-on experience and be exposed to the daily functions of our Accounting Team.
This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
This position may require travel to our NY office headquarters up to two times during the program for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.
Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington)
Length of Program: Monday, June 2nd, through Friday, August 8th (10 weeks)
Internship On-Site Meeting: Wednesday, June 18th (required)
Hours: Standard business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy.
Salary: $20.00/hour
The Day to Day:
- Price check and review all invoices for approval prior to payment
- Work effectively with various internal parties and vendors to resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders (POs), and item receipts
- Put payments together and ensure vendors are paid both accurately and in a timely manner so that discounts are applied appropriately
- Process credits received and follow-up with vendors on credits related to open balances, returns, rebalances, and warranties
- Review vendor statements monthly to ensure accounts are kept up to date
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Area Manager (Reno)
SupplyHouse.com, a rapidly growing e-commerce company in the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC space, is looking for an Area Manager overseeing our Receiving Team to join our Nevada Fulfillment Center! The Receiving Team Lead is responsible for the oversight, development, and accountability of the Receiving and Put Away Team. Location: Reno, Nevada
Shift: Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PST
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Receiving team is completing all freight and UPS Fed/Ex purchase orders based on priority on a daily basis if possible given the volume
- Responsible for keeping the receiving assignment board up to date based on priority
- Serve as the main point of contact for the accounting and buying teams for all purchase order related communications that involve prioritization and execution
- Ensure that all team members are trained and understand all operational processes along with standard safety and organizational processes
- Collaborate with the Inbound Manager and Inventory Control Lead to be on the same page with how and where material should be received
- Track performance of each team member and providing consistent feedback regularly along with check-ins
- Conduct monthly check-ins with each member of the Receiving team in order to establish rapport and provide feedback

What is Demand Planning?
The main focus of the Demand Planning team is having the right inventory in the right place at the right time. The Planning team consists of two sub-teams, Demand Planning and Merchandise Planning. The Demand team focuses on item level forecasts that feed into order proposals developed by our inventory forecasting software. The Demand team verifies order quantities and works with the Merchandise Planning team to ensure the orders are within budget constraints with the goal being to spend our inventory dollars in the most efficient way possible.
The Day to Day:
- Utilize our inventory forecasting software to identify and track product trends and life cycles (current and future product demands)
- Analyze trends, historical demand, and customer input to identify accurate quantities and timing of purchases
- Design metrics and prepare reports to analyze in stocks
- Create and place stocking orders based on forecasting analyses
- Keep on top of knowledge of products, current events, and impactful information

- Identify required testing and certifications for product categories, manage certification renewals, and stay updated on new regulations to adapt our offerings accordingly.
- Evaluate product samples from multiple private label suppliers to ensure consistent quality, appearance, and adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with vendors to address quality issues, recommend improvements, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Develop customer service documents and training materials to support the private label program.
- Conduct customer training sessions and represent the private label program at trade shows, sharing product knowledge and highlighting key features and benefits.

Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of database design, RDBMS concepts, and experience with SQL.
