Senior Data Analyst (Melville)

Full-time position

DUTIES: Collaborate with warehouse managers and perform in-depth data analysis to support operations, to identify improvement areas, and provide insights for decision-making. Forecast monthly operational team members by utilizing historical trends and understanding operational implications for warehouse planning and HR team hiring goals. Forecast lines demand and number of pick-pack team members by hour for warehouse managers to ensure proper work allocation to fulfill orders on time. Provide data insights to improve picking efficiencies by generating weekly picking rates. Conduct extraction on large data sets using SQL, process complex data manipulation using R/Excel, and create data visualizations. Perform thorough root cause analysis on the reasons of late packages for each distribution center to improve operations. Create daily and weekly reports on customer service metrics using advanced Excel functions. Produce monthly shipping efficiency reports to optimize inventory availability for forecasting team. Present data-focused findings and lead discussions with stakeholders and management for process improvement and business decisions. EOE.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Actuarial Mathematics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Data Analyst or a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with all of the following: Utilizing analytics tools including R or Python to handle large data sets; Utilizing visualization tools or reporting software including Excel or Tableau; Performing Macro functions or VBA coding utilizing Excel; Utilizing SQL and interacting with a SQL platform; Performing data manipulation, including extracting, handling, and cleaning large, complex data sets; Generating comprehensive reports, analyzing trends, and providing key takeaway findings from complex data; Working cross functionally with business, operations, customer service, and IT teams to communicate insights and solve operational issues; and Performing forecasting on warehouse and customer service demand and staffing level. Demand Planner (Remote)

Full-time position

SupplyHouse.com, a fast growing and successful e-commerce company, is looking for a new Demand Planner to join our Demand Planning Team! This individual will be responsible for effectively maintaining and balancing inventory levels between our fulfillment centers by using statistical analysis, forecasting logic, and industry experience. 

This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters up to four times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.

Role Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:

  • Work extensively with demand planning software in a high SKU environment to create demand forecasts at the SKU/location level
  • Provide timely data maintenance for a large subset of SKUs through exception management and analytics of inputs that include historical sales, market trends, macroeconomic factors, seasonality, promotions, and supply chain constraints to maximize forecast accuracy and maintain service level goals
  • Create ad hoc analysis and reports to deep dive into anomalies, outliers in the forecast, and ways to drive revenue and profit
  • Actively engage in the monthly management of the merchandise financial plan by providing feedback on brand/category performance, receipt flow, and inventory targets
  • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships through effective and timely communication
  • Analyze, identify, and implement opportunities for process improvement 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred concentrations in Business, Merchandising, or Finance)
  • 1-2 years of Demand Planning experience in a high SKU environment

Requirements:

This position is responsible for the administrative activities related to employee leave of absences and its related benefits programs including FMLA, disability, workers compensation, and family leave, as well as company leave policies such as parental leave, personal LOA, and medical LOA. This position is responsible for the administrative activities related to employee leave of absences and its related benefits programs including FMLA, disability, workers compensation, and family leave, as well as company leave policies such as parental leave, personal LOA, and medical LOA. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Packing Team is completing all Fast Track shipments that come in on a daily basis while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Assign all packers to their stations and sections on the assignment board along with executing all necessary resource movement involving the packing team throughout each day
  • Ensure all shipment supplies are ordered and inventory is monitored and maintained
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the customer service teams in terms of the quality of packing, packing errors, staged orders or any issues that come up that relate to the Packing Team
  • Train all team members to make sure they understand all operational processes along with standard safety and organizational processes
  • Track performance of each team member and provide consistent feedback regularly along with check-ins
  • Conduct monthly check-ins with each member of the Packing Team in order to establish rapport and provide feedback
  • Immediately address all personnel and performance related incidents that arise
  • Execute all process improvements developed and in partnership with the Outbound Manager to support the growth
  • Execute all projects assigned by the Outbound Manager
  • Serve as a backup for the Picking Team in terms of waving orders and maintaining the assignment board, if they are the only lead present in shipping
  • All members of leadership are expected to lead by example and maintain professional standards in the workplace
