Excellent Plumber Grade Valve
The Brasscraft valves with a an id that starts with "KT" are plumber grade, all metal valves made in America. They are super superior to the valves that begin with "G" that have plastic guts. The "G" line can be found in big box stores. DO NOT BUY these unless you want to keep replacing valves. The "KT" valves are the only valves I'd ever buy.

Q: Picture does not show a valve with 1/2" nominal compression nut. The description has a sentence that the picture is not representative of the product, but I want to be sure this valve is for 1/2" nominal copper tube compression fitting? I've tried to find a 1/4 turn valve that won't leak on the stem, as these typically do not come with an adjustable compression nut to tighten packing around the stem. This looks like a good valve that will not leak around the stem after prolonged use. Please verify that it is made to secure on to 1/2" nom. copper tubing. Thanks, Mike
