        I had a boiler mechanic out to make a repair on my home boiler. He said it was the the control board was bad and made a replaced the part. The part and labor cost me over $600. and still the boiler was not working properly. I decided to trouble shoot the problem myself and found that three of the zone control valves had bad end control switches (limit switches). I got on line and to order the part and came across PexSupply. Your price was great and I ordered the Honeywell replacement head. Your price was very good and the online process was easy. I will be buying more supplies in the future as needed. Oh by the way, the boiler mechanic will not be returning to my home. I know more than he does now about the system.

              Comments about Replacement Head for V8043F Zone Valves:

              These heads are easy to replace. Turn off the power to the boiler, remove the wires & remove the two screws holding the head. My only complaint is the parts seem to wear out too easily/quickly anymore. System is over 20 years old so things are going to need replacing.

                                The part worked great and easy to install. Just take a picture of the wiring before you start or draw out wiring diagram. I didn't understand how my boiler operated until this part when bad and had to figure it out. This parts fires up and boiler and opens the valve when the zone call for heat. I waited for 3 week for this part from Sears and finally canceled the order. Supply House shipped it in just a few days and was $20 cheaper1

                                                  Lost my domestic water loop from by boiler and found the zone valve head to be the culprit. From time to time you can get away with simply replacing the motor in these heads but they do wear and get "loose" to a point where the just won't make anymore. For about double the cost of a motor you can have a completely new head assembly which only requires 2 mounting screws and swapping the wiring terminal for terminal. I can't say that I'll never replace a motor again but these heads are definitely convenient. Considering my zone valves are all original to my home's construction in 1994, I guess replacing a few heads when they go from here on out isn't too bad a deal. Also, I now have a new spare on the shelf for next time.

                                                                        Yes there is a replacement head for use with the old style valve body; this is aV8043E valve.
                                                                        I would suggest that you use a powerhead conversion kit for the V8043E valve and convert the old style body to the new style. It then becomes much simpler to replace the powerhead. The valve mechanism is connected to the old style powerhead and you will have water all over the place when you replace the powerhead.
                                                                        The conversion kit seperates the valve from the powerhead and once you have installed the conversion kit you only have to remove two screws to replace the powerhead and you won't get wet. I have installed conversion kits in all my old valves.
                                                                        The conversion kit is: 40003918-006/U
                                                                        The Powerhead assembly is: 40003916-048/U and this is for the newer style V8043F valve and is used with the conversion kit
                                                                        The Powerhead assembly for a V8043E (old style) zone valve is 40003916-026;
