Works great

Comments about Portable Comfort Control:

Product works exactly as advertised. We got the Portable Comfort Controller to put in the baby's room because it always seemed to be the hottest room in the winter and coldest room in the summer, and the thermastat was in a room with the opposite problem. Works flawlessly and easy to set up. Only thing I don't like is how big it is- I thought it was going to be about half as big as it is.

2nd best part of my system!

Comments about Portable Comfort Control:

Down stairs is always cooler than my upstairs. So at night Portable comfort control is a huge asset. I don't have to worry if its to cool or to hot, just set the temp on the portable comfort control and your all set. Before, I had to either go down stairs and reset the thermostat, or log on to my phone, then the system, then reset.
You have to have the Redlink to connect to your wifi to make it all work, so it adds cost to the unit. However, this site sells whole packages at fair prices. It all works amazingly well.

Perfect Match

Comments about Portable Comfort Control:

We use it to adjust heat in upstairs master bedroom. On occasion we need to increase or decrease the temperature from the set point on the downstairs wireless thermostat.
It's especially nice to be able to monitor the out door temperature. (We have that wireless sensor as well.)
I should mention that we upgraded to a Honeywell wireless thermostat a few months ago, then someone told us about the portable comfort control and the outdoor sensor. I ordered those and connected them wirelessly, which was easy to do.

This is a replacement product for one that was damaged by my fault. Very pleased with the product, works great. Very fast service from PexSupply.com and much better price that my local Heating and Cooling dealer. I would recommend this company and the products they sell.

Excellent device

Comments about Portable Comfort Control:

I got this as a remote thermostat for my upper level. I have a room above the garage which can get warm in the summer and cooler in the winter due to the distance from the wall mounted thermostat. It works really wells and ensures comfort in which ever upstairs room

Awesome product

By Nik

Comments about Portable Comfort Control:

This wireless remote was easy to connect to the 4 zone controllers I have (all part of the same Honeywell family), and also to the outside temperature sensor. Now I can view and control the settings from my 4 zones from the comfort of my chair, or anywhere else I happen to be. This is a very worthwhile investment, [...]

Great if you need it

By R. B.

Comments about Portable Comfort Control:

Last winter our house was seriously drafty. We have since then replaced our windows and hope not to have that problem again. But this thing was a life saver during the winter. The temperature variations in our house were huge (freezing in the office, hot in the bedroom) so we could bring the remote where we needed it.

The only gripe I have isn't with the remote but the Prestige thermostat. It is very expensive and I think the programming options should be more extensive. The programming options are pretty basic.

    2. Does this remote indicate temperature of where the thermostat is located?

    3. I am looking at this for a visually impaired individual on a fixed income. How large are the numbers indicating set temperature on the remote?

    4. I see page 2 of the Equipment Interface Module System Installation Guide shows a direct link from the remote control to the Equipment Interface Module. Can this remote control work directly with the Equipment Interface Module and can the Equipment Interface Module be directly hard wired from an existing 6000 series Focus Pro thermostat?

    May thanks for your help.

It will work, as long as your thermostat is RedLINK enabled.

I am pretty sure you can sync up other devices. I think the instructions tell you how. I believe I may have actually done this with my wireless outdoor sensor.

      A:

It depends. If your current remote is one of the Honeywell RedLINK wireless systems then this "should" work, but you best check with the manufacturer to be on the safe side.
