Great Well Pump Cycle Timer!

This is a great, inexpensive solid state cycle timer. I use mine for cycling my submersible pump on and off on my low yield water well so I don't run it dry. Wells hold up better over time if you don't continuously run them dry. I use the timer to drive a contactor to switch the pump on and off. When my tank level float switch signals demand to run the pump, the cycle timer energizes the pump contactor as needed to fill the tank (depending on your application, a pressure switch could provide the demand to start the cycle timer to energize the contactor to fill a pressure tank too...).

WHAT A PROBLEM SOLVER

My refrigerator runs all the time. I bought this timer to externally manage the ON/Off cycles. I switch the compressor through an auxiliary relay. I was pleased that a resistor was not needed to put a load on the timer. The relay alone works well with the timer. I'll be getting a 2nd one to cycle an ozone generator ON/Off.

Simple set-up, works as described

Easy installation and timer set-up. Used to enforce duty cycle on a water inlet valve. Good build quality, on-off times meet the stated accuracy. Hope it lasts a long time.

ICM305

I have a simple single zone heat system with a very tight (low loss) house and wanted a temporary on circuit to keep the floor "buffered" I used this timer with a small relay to cycle my heat system along with a line voltage thermostat to keep it from cycling when the house is at a certain high setpoint.

Good timer

I use this timer to control the fan on my forced air furnace / air conditioner. Having the fan run periodically helps even out the hot and cold spots in my house. The timer works with a wide range of control voltages (24v for my furnace) and the switches for on and off time let me set the fan timer to whatever interval I want. The male quick connect fittings on the timer made installation simple.

Good timer 2 cycling anything, add relay

This is a great lower price cycle timer that you can set the time in minutes for both on and off time; each switch adds it's number to all others that are on. However it is a control device which is not able to power a real load like a motor . However if you add a relay with a coil voltage of whatever you power the timer with, then any load can be powered.

ASK A QUESTION

Q: Will this unit con trol a small 120 volt load? In other words, if a 120 volt line is the input, will the output control on or off a 120 volt load without needing to use a relay between the timer and the load? Thanks much, Dan
