Description

–
The ICM492 constantly monitors line voltage and protects single-phase equipment against low and high voltage conditions, and rapid short cycling due to voltage fault or power interruption. Its easy-view, backlit digital display makes it user friendly to read and monitor voltage conditions, and adjust parameters to meet specific needs.

Features
  • Protects against over and under voltage and rapid short cycling caused by transient faults and power interruptions
  • Easy view, backlit digital display
  • RMS voltage set point
  • Adjustable voltage set point
  • Adjustable over voltage setting
  • Adjustable under voltage setting
  • Adjustable anti-short cycle time delay
  • Adjustable response time
  • Control mode
  • Universal line voltage input
  • Heavy duty SPDT relay output
  • Universal control voltage input (for integrating a thermostat)
User Adjustable Settings
  • Voltage set point: 80-300 VAC
  • Anti-short cycle time delay: 0-720 seconds
  • Over voltage setting: 5-25%
  • Under voltage setting: 5-25%
  • Control mode: On & Off
  • Response time: 0.1-10 seconds
Mode of Operation:

The ICM492 continuously monitors incoming line voltage for faults and displays RMS voltage on the digital display. When line voltage is appropriate, the ICM492 will close COM and N.O. relay contacts. When incoming line voltage is outside of the user selected parameters, the ICM492 will close COM and N.C. relay contacts and indicate a fault condition by flashing FAULT on display.

The SELECT menu has the following user adjustable settings: voltage setpoint, time delay, over voltage, under voltage, control mode, and response time. Time delay prevents system short cycling caused by transient faults and rapid power interruptions. The response time on the fault condition can be adjusted to help reduce nuisance trips from transient faults. When Control Mode setting is selected ON, the ICM492 will close COM and N.O. relay contacts only when control voltage is present at Control Voltage terminals. The relay contacts can be used to direct drive the load as long as current rating is not exceeded.

Sweet protection unit.

I'm using this with a 30A contactor to protect a refrigerator from over and under voltage. Easy to connect up, and easy to program. I was able to fit it all in an 8x8 NEMA-1 box.

Some trouble

We use the product to protect our Fujitsu Ductless units from too high a power supply on a seasonal island. We replace them often due to failure. (not sure if it's because of excessive cycling because they are fried and we usually do not get a chance to see the error codes.) We have not found an alternative product.

Solid diagnostic tool.

Used this module to monitor a 115 VAC control voltage issue on a Solid State Starter. HAd been experiencing starter faults due to a voltage sag on the control circuit. This module save the relevant data I needed to prove to the customer that the Starter Module itself was fine, and the lockout was caused by line power fluctuations. Cheap, reliable, and can also be used as a safety device. Keep one on the van!

We use this monitor on several of our products

This small compact monitor is ideal for our products where we have to prove to the customer that the issues they are experiencing are due to incoming power issues. Supply House was the first to deliver during the shortage of 2021/22. Great service, fast shipping and very professional. Will definitely use them again.

Wonderful product saves you money

This is being used for my AC unit, Gate Motor and Wall Oven. Fantastic product to ensure under and over voltage protection I love the fact that I can set the limits to ensure protections Do the rite thing and get protected for expensive appliances of varying voltages you will never regret this minor investment… Great product will buy again and again….👍

I bought several and they seem to work well

The first one I bought I put in the control circuit of my central air. It worked well for brown out conditions and momentary interruptions. I bought several more for refrigerator and freezer.

I've bought this before.

I bought this product and took it to Ethiopia to use on some equipment at a hospital to save it from the constant voltage fluctuations and it has worked there great for two years so I am taking more of them.

It's been working excellent for 2 years in Ethiopia.

I installed one of these in Ethiopia to protect some medical lab equipment at a rural hospital in Ethiopia. Voltage fluctuations are constant. I talking about voltages dropping by 50% for hours. In two years none of the equipment has been damaged by the constant voltage swings.

Wonderful device to protect AC compressor and furnace fan

The unit is small and easy to connect to protect home AC and furnace system from over and under voltage conditions. I had a misunderstanding on programming one option but a figured how to get it to work. Later called technical support and they verified I had it wired and programmed correctly.
