The IW25-1 was designed to help reduce the amount of moisture in a home quietly, inconspicuously and inexpensively. The on/off switch and electronically controlled humidistat are located behind the wall grill which is secured with tamper proof screws to eliminate unauthorized manipulation. Once the Humidistat is set to the desired % of relative humidity, the unit will cycle on and off as required to satisfy your setting.
With the ability to remove up to 25 pints per day of water from the air, the IW25-1 is the perfect dehumidifier to inexpensively make your home's air dryer while being quiet and inconspicuous.

Better options available
I purchased this unit to keep my newly finished basement dry. Upon initial inspection I was than impressed with the quality of the unit, it has a very cheap plastic cover that tends to break the mounting tabs if not perfectly aligned when installing. The unit was operational for about four months before I started having problems. I came home to a water running down the wall and when I opened the cover I found the coil had frozen over. SupplyHouse was very good about getting a replacement out but I have reservations about the durability of the unit. Hopefully I'm wrong but for the price I expected a lot more.

Problem solved
I have a basement apartment that has a big issue with Ventilation. Moisture had started accumulating on the walls of the plaster cement walls and causing water damage. I tryed a few different vent options trying to stay away from a big purchase, but no avail. I installed this unit and after a day running, problem was solved. Wish I had purchased a long time ago! Time will tell on the quality of the unit, although it did seem to be built on a professional grade!

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe rough opening dimensions are 14.5" wide, 25.5" tall, and 9.38" deep. Grille dimensions are 17.2" wide, 27.2" tall and .5" deep.
