You need the EXP switching relay, the switching relay you have does not work with the outdoor reset control. There is a molex connector in the EXP switching relay that the outdoor reset connects to. Good luck...
TACO SR 504 EXP is compatible with the Taco Boiler Reset Control.
Yes, the PC700-2 is compatible with the SR 504 EXP. I have had a PC700-2 connected to a SR 506 EXP for nearly 3 years. Both units have been trouble free. I had to experiment with the settings on the PC700-2 to find the best balance for my installation.
Yes it is, there it a wiring harness included that plugs in to the the upper left of the Taco SR control. You then need to run 2 wire thermostat wire from the PC 700 to a supply sensor. Make sure it's installed on the top of the main supply pipe about 10 inches down stream of a turn, you want it on a straight section of pipe to get an accurate reading. Make sure you put a piece of pipe insulation around the sensors and pipe as well. The outdoor sensor is also 2 wire thermostat wire. Try to install it on the north face of your home and at least one foot of grade for snow drifts. Great control and easy to install, good luck.
The answer is Yes!!! I checked my wiring diagrams and they show the 700-2 connects to all the Taco EXP series relays. There is an interface connector on the EXP board that receives the 700-2 reset controller. Tessier Electric Inc.
No, you can't override it, but you can change the settings on the control. This will boost the water temperature supplying the baseboard and in turn will provide quicker response time for your system.
