No more Pex expansion for me
These fittings have made my job so much easier! I don't have anything against Pex A expansion per say, but I have run into too many instances where the Pex was too brittle, most likely exposed to the sun before installation and expansion is simply not an option. I've had to settle with using SharkBites in the past but now these fittings have given me an excellent additional option. I do mostly service plumbing so I'm constantly dealing with leaks in walls, under slabs and under ground and this product has saved the day too many times to mention.

The sleeve is a little short pushing the PEX out of the fitting. I has never failed, but the engineering of the sleeve should be improved. This is particularly noticeable when using FostaPEX.

Love the Vega fittings for pex . You can see if pex is bottomed through sight holes.

No more Pex A expansion for me!
Since discovering Pureflow Pex Press fittings, they have become my go to fitting when making repairs or doing re-pipes. No more Pex A expansion for me! I subcontract with a Property Management that owns 9k homes in my area so I see every from copper to older polybutylene and everything in between. The Pureflow fittings have also made permanent repairs possible that would've otherwise required SB fittings.

Q: Can viega pex press fittings be used on pex a and fosta pex only, or all types of pex? Can Mr pex fittings be installed with viega crimper tool? Thanks

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffViega Pex Press fittings work with all grades and types of Pex Tubing. However, if using FostaPEx this is the ONLY fitting that can be used. MrPEX® fittings are listed to ASTM F2159. MrPEX® Stainless Steel Press Sleeves and PEX Press tools are required and purchased separately.therefore you would not be able to use with a crimp tool.
