Description
–
Series LFFBVS-3C 2-piece, full port, Lead Free* ball valves are used in
commercial and industrial applications for a full range of liquids and gases.
They feature a bottom-loaded blowout proof stem, virgin PTFE seats,
thrust washer, and adjustable stem packing gland, stem packing nut,
chrome plated Lead Free* brass ball, copper silicon alloy brass adapter,
and steel handle. The Series LFFBVS-3C features Lead Free*
construction to comply with Lead Free* installation requirements.

Watts ball valves are top of the line.
Watts ball valves can be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Watts ball valves installed from 40 years ago, are still functional and are still in great shape.

Never a problem with Watts ball valves...
I have never had a problem installing and using Watts ball valves. They never stick even after sitting open for years. I never had one leak either.

I have used Watts ball valves for years and I have never had a problem installing or using them. They are dependable and have a great quality feel to them.

Appears well-made. Stood up to a lot of soldering.
NB: this review was written 24 hours after the valve was installed so I can't comment on long-term durability.
As far as the valve itself goes, I was very impressed that it was able to take quite a bit of heat -- more than I normally use, because in this case I was working on in-use pipe that was challenging to get fully drained -- with no apparent damage to the valve's sealing function.
After lots of heating & re-heating and fluxing to be sure the solder got in all round the fitting, I cooled the valve off to hand-warm using a damp cloth. After turning the water back on the valve performs as expected -- complete shut-off of flow with no drips.
Extremely competitive pricing compared to big-box store rip-off pricing.

Quality valve
Valve seems solid and well made, looks good, easy to sweat. Rubber handle cover slides off easily so you don't risk melting it. I plan to get more of them in the future.

Good Valve, Great Value
You can beat the price on this, you would pay 3 times as much for a name brand valve in a brick and mortar store. Installed easily (1/2 inch) with no problems. Shipping was fast, much faster than I thought for the price I paid. I'm in Maryland, and ordered at 1am Thursday and had them in hand 4pm Friday.
Wish they would carry the version with the waste option as well!
