The check valves that come with these flanges are held in place only by a soft rubber grommet. You can easily push the check valve out of the flange with your thumb. Screwing a nipple into the flange does not stabilize the check valve since it is smaller than the nipple ID. These check valves could easily come loose after installation and go floating through the system. It's hard to believe Wilo even sells them. Otherwise the flanges are fine.

not what is pictured
unhappy with the way the check valve is mated with flange. these are cheap and the iron is poor. have used many times, but getting fed up.

Great time saver, but a poor design
What you get is not what is pictured. You get the green flange with a check valve stuffed in. If you thread in too much, the thread end will start to push the check valve out. I have had one check valve drop into the circulator outlet, and only found out later when repairing the thread leak. These are great except that the iron does not mate well with copper x male adapters and will slowly leak if thick pipe dope like Rectorseal Tru Blu is not used.

Work great
Far less money, quicker, and easier than installing a flo-check. I have used a couple dozen of these without any issues.
On the negetive side: they have some resistance to flo, but so does the flo-check they replace.

Perfect for my application.
I used this along with a PEX valve and PEX-to-MPT adapter to replace a B&G Check-Trol isolation valve that failed after two years. The check valve in this Wilo flange is replaceable, but the flange is inexpensive enough that you can replace the whole thing if it fails at some point. If your circulator is in good shape (I used it with a Taco 007 that's only a couple years old), you can use this to replace a bad check valve without having to buy a new circulator with a built-in check valve. It's only been installed for a week so I can't comment on it's longevity, but so far so good.
