American Water Heater Has A Supplier Problem and A warehouse
I too received 3 blowers and none worked, upon further investigation and finding a commercial technical help center person named John who was able to listen and understand what I was saying we found the problem. They have a 100 series Polaris hot water heater and a 200 series hot water heater. The blowers for the 200 series blowers are mislabeled and are put in the box for the 100 series Polaris. They won't work because they need an input from the speed sensor on the 5 pin connector. The 100 series Polaris blower part number 100093635 only needs power via the 3 pin connector. I attached pictures of this. The parts distribution center for American Water Heaters was none responsive when my supplier tried to order this part from them and have them verify if I ordered one directly from them that I would get a correct part.

Three times, Non-functional product
It has been over a month, and three separate direct shipments from American Water Heaters, to get a replacement blower for a Polaris PG1034-100-2PV water heater. Every single unit received will NOT run even though 120VAC is on the pins attaching the molex socket to the blower motor circuit board. The product number is correct for this water heater according to a tech at American Water Heaters help line.
Technical people at American Water Heaters are no help in resolving this problem. I even made up a new molex plug to connect a 120 VAC cheater cord to the blowers. Nothing! However, I can get EBMPABST blowers for Lochinvar, NTI, HTP boilers to work just fine when powered using the cheater cord without the boiler blower speed control plug attached
SupplyHouse has tried to assist to get this problem resolved, but to date I am still without a functioning blower. Incidentally, the original blower seized a bearing, I got it loose temporarily with WD-40, it ran for about ten minutes before totally failing again. And yes, it ran on the cheater cord as well before it was reinstalled.
