worked perfectly
Was seeing a noticeable drop in the amount of hot water I was getting. After some searching on the internet I thought it might be the dip tube. Two plumbers said it wasn't likely and that I should replace the heater. I took a chance on this product and this part and a shark bite connected later the hot water heater works like it did when it was new. The PEX Dip Tube worked great.

Hot water once again
This pex dip tube was just flexible enough to be eased into the water heater despite a low clearance situation. We actually ordered the AO smith version, too, in case this didn't work. But it did. We have hot water once again.
