This water heater burner gives me issue since the day 1. The plumber told me that is the only downside of this water heater, other than that, it is a great long lasting water heater.. I owned it for 9 yrs, and this is the 2nd time I changed the burner. The 1st one last 7-8 yrs.. If your water is in the vacation mode, turn off, and clean the sensor with fine wool steel every few monthes. If it still not working, replace a new burner.
