Solid product. Works well. Install is substantial.

Been using this for a month. I installed in my basement and piped up into a closet where I installed the fan pack to blow into a central corridor. Install wasn't hard but it was involved with my case that needed about 12' of copper and some bends. It works great. Only downside is the fan is louder than expected. I'd say it's about 75% as loud as a microwave. Sitting in the living room 15' away it's a little annoying. I bought an AC voltage regulator which I'll wire into the fan to slow down the speed a little and quiet it down. Haven't done that yet.

Yes because of limited options

The unit was not hard to install if you know how to solder copper pipe. The installation has to be in very close proximity to the location in which you are going to install the fan pack. If you are installing in the basement to go to the first floor you will need to install at 9 feet of copper pipe and need to have access to the inside of the wall to insulate the piping. The longer the run of pipe that is required the less effective the unit becomes. Ensure that you have a dedicated drain line to the sewer system as this system discharges a lot of water. Unit was installed 36 days and plastic components started to break. Not as high a quality unit as I would have expected for the price point on it.

ASK A QUESTION

Q: We are looking to humidify a large room within a warehouse. So we need a humidifier that we can pipe to water, but that does not need to be attached to a forced air furnace. Is this such an item? Are there better choices?

Yes, this will be able to work for your application, and this would be top of the line for Steam Humidifiers. However, do not mount humidifier in a location where ambient temperature exceeds 104°f or where freezing temperatures may occur. Extreme temperatures may cause the humidifier to leak which can damage furnishings or structures. The humidifier must be mounted to a vertical surface and must be mounted level in the upright position .
