Radon Mitigation Fan Kit with ARN15F Fan - 1,500 Sq. ft.

I have a dual radon mitigation system. One of the two pipe's go under the concrete basement floor. I use perforated pipe surrounded by river rock and covered with 12 mil plastic sealing the dirt crawl space and concrete wall foundation. The radon fan has its own electrical circuit. I removed the 30 year old 125 amp breaker panel and added five for 400 amp service. A dual compressor HVAC system replaced a gas central furnace. A hybrid 240VAC hot water tank and expansion tank replaced an old gas water heater. All new PEX fresh water lines everywhere. All new faucets inside and out. Added ceiling insulation throughout home and garage. Two bathroom TiTo dual flush toilets. Three wired exhaust fans. Concrete walkway and stairs. Replaced old black wrought iron porch rails with white aluminum railings. Includes handicap stair rails. Replaced carports with RIDGID Vinyl flooring. Pushed the rear garage wall 6' out further and added a rear garage door my old corvette is parked on n a carport in the fenced backyard. A four post lift can raise it up so a second car can park underneath. I installed an auto garage door to park a Roush Charged mustang in the garage. Three exterior color paints on home. Need to remove a third large tree in backyard. Lay a concrete pad , an electrical pedestal, a hot tub with metal canopy with window screens. A emergency 22k generator. Need a welder outlet and a EV charger. Garage roof work and walls updated with hurricane and earthquake straps and anchors.

I recently moved into a new construction home that has a passive radon system installed. The home has a full basement that totals around 1500 sq ft. I purchased an AirThings 223 portable radon tester and took readings in various locations of my home. My living room averaged 2.3 pCi-L over multiple days. I installed the AprilAire ARN15F fan into my 3" PVC passive system and the readings dropped to 0.2 pCi-L over night and have stayed between 0.2 - 0.4 ever since. The fan is installed in my attic and is completely silent. The install was very simple as the fan comes with 3" adaptors. The only thing I needed in addition to the kit was a cord to plug the fan in and a 1/2 cord grip fitting. With the included manometer installed I can easily make sure the system is operating as it should. This fan pulls 1.4 W/C on my system. I did not end up using the included alarm as the manometer is in a frequently accessed location so I can't comment on that part of the kit. Overall I am very happy with this kit and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for this size fan.

Radon levels monitored for over a year have disappeared overnight. 8 p Ci / L to 0.27 on day three. I'm ready to turn on the basement treadmill as soon as long term testing is complete. One outdoor fan for 60% basement concrete floor and second pipe with ball valve to dirt crawl space.

Our radon was peaking at 7 during the winter months. Yikes! I hooked this fan kit and exhaust to a sealed sump pump cover. I was a bit concerned with the French drain but brought radon levels down to 0.7.
