Element fit as it should. It comes with a gasket. It did not specify so I bought gaskets too. Didn't need to.

Quality replacement
Check your owner's manual and test the resistance of your element before deciding to buy a new one. I was convinced my element had worn out only to find out that it was a faulty circuit breaker. A simple test with ohm meter showed the element was fine. I installed the new one and now have a spare for back up. It fits perfectly and works as expected.

Argo boiler, E16 element replacement
Great store, fast service. This replacement element was a snap to install. Took all of 15 minutes. I used the E16s to upgrade from the E15s. A 2000 watt increase. Now we have a warm home on the coldest of IA nights. The argo boiler, by all apperance, is working normally, inspite of the after market element watt increase. Originally installed the boiler with AWG 4 lead-in, a consideration in using the larger elements.
