I bought to use with the element, but the element came with one. Element lacked description.

Quality replacement
When replacing your heat element always replace the gasket. Dad warned me and he was right. The old gasket looked fine but leaked when I first replaced the element. It took a lot of work to remove the 10 yr old gasket that had adhered to the surface but some elbow grease, gasket remover spray, and a scraper did the job. The new gasket fit perfectly and is made of the same composite material as the original. After re-installing the element, there were no leaks.

This item should be packages and shipped with each heating element or the heating element should clearly advis that this gasket has to be ordered separately.
