1-Gang Weatherproof Low Profile Recessed Electrical Box (White)

This is a great product for installing outdoor receptacles on walls with vinyl siding. Great for air sealing and weather lightness. My only issues are that the cover latch is hard to work with my arthritic hands and the and the slots for the cord to exit the box are not large enough to accommodate 12/3 extension cords.

Way flatter to siding than other electric box solutions. To make things air tight, I used zip flash (like caulk) to adhere the rear flange to zip sheathing, wrapped zip tap around outside of box to cover perforated knockouts and added zip flash on the inside of inside of the box where the electric wire enters. I ordered an extra cover flap also. Love that the flap is available separately.

Have used this item in the past. Have same item on my existing home now and needed more to add more outdoor outlets. Great item at great price.

I used these for my ring plug-in cams for outside. There was plenty of room to fit the excess cable and the big plug end inside with no problems. I mounted the camera mount to the lid and then the camera to the mount and ran the wire through the little space provided under the lid. The lid is very sturdy. And you dont need to put fasteners through your siding or trim and be left with a mess with unsitely holes if you uograde to other devices. Just replace the lids as they are cheap and readily available. This is a great way to use these cams outdoors without illegally running power cables inside the walls.

Best in-use box I've seen.; everyone loves them. There are two small problems: 1. Many wall-wart type DC power supplies won't fit very well, so you'll need to use a pigtail or something. This is the price you pay for having the thing be otherwise so much less obtrusive than regular in-use covers. 2. The little 'bug plugs' that come with the box and that keep insects and dirt out of there when there are no cords running out of the cover are *extremely easy to lose* and the manufacturer doesn't sell replacements separately.

This is a very nice box. I like the integral J moulding and how it's all one piece. I don't have to worry about seams leaking. You should flash this box just like you do for windows. It would be nice if they would include fasteners to attach the box to the sheeting. I didn't have proper pan head type screws on hand and had to use bugle head screws. This box includes both style receptacle covers and the knockout wire bushing. Very happy with my purchase.
