Parts were damaged
The nipples were crimped too hard during the threading process when manufactured so they weren't round. This was a problem in the application I used them for. I had to manually hammer them to get them somewhat round. Due to lead time I could not send them back. They probably would have worked fine for a normal plumbing application.
