This Bluefin starter kit is great for a DIY or professional looking to get started with PEX Plumbing or the Bluefin Clamp System specifically.
This kit contains the following products:
- PCTHDC - Heavy Duty PEX Ratchet Clamp & Cutting Tool (1): Works with the Bluefin Clamps and Bluefin or Everflow PEX Crimp/Clamp fittings to make PEX Connections. This tool can be used for 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", and 1" PEX clamps, fittings, and tubing.
- PXCL050 - 1/2" Stainless Steel Clamps (1 bag of 100): These clamps are for use with the Bluefin or Watts clamping tool. They are designed for use with the Bluefin or Rifeng barbed fittings, formerly known as SSC fittings.
- PXCL075 - 3/4" Stainless Steel Clamps (1 bag of 50): See PXCL050 (above) for description.
- PXE050-DZR - 1/2" PEX x 1/2" PEX Brass Elbows (25): These may be used with the stainless steel clamping system or the copper crimp ring system.
- PXE075-DZR - 3/4" PEX x 3/4" PEX Brass Elbows (25): See PXE050-DZR (above) for description.
- PXC050-DZR - 1/2" PEX x 1/2" PEX Brass Couplings (25): Makes PEX to PEX connections for PEX Tubing. May be used with the stainless steel clamping system or the copper crimp ring system.
- PXC075-DZR - 3/4" PEX x 3/4" PEX Brass Couplings (25): See PXC050-DZR (above) for description.
- TU050-100-B - 1/2" Blue Bluefin Tubing 100 ft.coil (1): Bluefin PEX pipe is produced with crosslinked polyethylene. Crosslinking is obtained through a chemical process that increases the bonds between macromolecules to form a more complex structure than the normal polyethylene.
- TU050-100-R - 1/2" Red Bluefin Tubing 100 ft. coil (1): See TU050-100-B (above) for description.

Enough to start but not to finish
There are way too many couplings but zero reducers or Ts. I wouldn't purchase this kit again. I received what I ordered in a timely manner. The product is as described just needs a better assortment of fittings

A Complete Package for the DIY'er !!!!
It all looks like alot, but you get used to it(DIY'er). It is an excellent idea for a "starter kit". Order more Clamps(1/2"/3/4"). You have a BIG job(1000-2500sq.ft), you'll need extra parts. Plan WELL, then extra order WITH the Starter Kit. S/H sends you ALOT to "start" ya.

PEX - What a wonderful thing!
PEX is a wonderful, easy way to do plumbing. I am the owner of a 1920's Colonial doing what I can to save money. I would recommed PEX to anyone. The starter kit had a lot of good stuff in it. A quality clamp tool and a variety of parts. I probably would purchase the parts seperately if I had to do it again however. The method I decided to use was the home-run method which uses very few elbows and connectors etc. I have a lot of brass that I may never use. Decide how you are going to do it first and then decide what to buy. Whatever you buy, buy it from these guys they are great.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYou could get a male or female threaded HydroPEX fitting and then get a PVC adapter to male or female thread.
