Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThis unit can produce a maximum of 4.3 gallons of hot water per minute (depending on the temperature rise required). This is probably only enough for about one shower. You may want to look at a larger unit.
This unit would not be powerful enough to support that much usage. This would only be enough for one shower at a time. You might look into the Bosch 2400ES.
Q: i plan on venting the unit horizontally. do i need any additional equipment?

Q: Can this be used in combination with other water heating sources? I have an outdoor wood burner and geothermal that will preheat water for the domestic use. During winter, the wood boiler will completely supply hot water needs as a pre-heater. If this will not work, can you suggest a solution that will?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe manufacturer does not recommend feeding this unit with pre-heated water. You may be better off with a Takagi unit.
Q: Can it be installed underneath my cottage which only has 4' of headroom? What size unit do I need to replace a 45 gal water heater?

Q: I have an Aquastar 125 Propane tankless water heater. I now have natural gas capability. Is the 1600P a drop-in replacement for my existing propane unit, or, what is needed to install the 1600P on natural gas. I already have other appliances on natural gas, i.e. furnace, range, and dryer. Thanks.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffIt would not be just a drop-in. The Aquastar 125 has 4" venting, while the 1600P has 5" venting. You would need to change the venting on the unit.
