This anode rod was a perfect replacement for my Bradford White water heater. It is a little longer than needed, so I cut off about 10" to be able to make the project work. The un-threaded portion that you clamp your wrench to is a half inch longer than the original so you don't have to worry about destroying the threads when installing it. I reused the heat trap but decided that I wanted to replace it as well so I went and ordered another and replaced that about a week later. I will replace both at the same time from now on. The original rod was in there for three years and it was completely covered in sediment, so I will not wait that long next time.
