Aluminum Hex Head Anode Rod, 52-3/8", .750, 415-38508-07

The description of this anode on the web page merely states aluminum anode. But the box with the part number on it states A420 aluminum, which is better than pure aluminum. It has other metals in it, mainly zinc. Hence these rods feel heavier than they would be if pure aluminum. They were packed very well in a large box inside a box. The hex head was already wrapped with tape from the factory. I did apply a very small amount of pipe dope on the tape. The couple minor negative things are the price, these are double the price of a generic aluminum anode, and the length. My 30 gallon Bradford White hot water tank takes a 28" anode and these are 52 3/8" long, I cut off almost enough for another anode.which I can't use. And they had a very slight S bend in them from the manufacturer, not much of a bend but worth mentioning.
