Do not buy from this company.
I tried to purchase this part for my hot water heater. The first one came and it was the wrong part. Just a piece of black pipe. Returned it. Then the second attempt I received a destroyed part. Called this sort company again. They told me they would over night one to make it right since it had already been over three weeks trying to get the part to fix my hot water heater. Well they never over nighted the part and shipping was delayed. I will be returning and asking for a full refund. Do not do business with this company. The one lady on the phone made it sound like this happened all the time.

Works perfecty
Dip tube and nipple do NOT separate. Nipple does NOT come with heat trap (415-45073-00). Pipe material is PVC. There are are a series of slits in the pipe to generate circulation action in the water. The pipe is rigid so be aware of what's above the water heater. If you have less than 43" clearance, you may have to drain and tip the heater to get the pipe in. If you're in a rush, work it in slowly and don't force bending at the slits or it will snap.
