I love this thick rod
this thick rod really plugs the hole nice and tight, and is girthy enough to last for years before needing replacement.

it worked good
I never knew all water heaters have a magnesium rod.
The water started to smell so I looked up the cause on line.
This was the first thing to change.
I found a replacement and the fit was great and shipping was fast.
No issues to install and smell is gone.
Look at the difference between the old and new rod.
