Q: For Bradford White RG250T6N why can't I use the shorter version of anode rod 415-47776-19 which is of course 415-47776-16 because I can't fit the long version into my water heater anyway and it would just force me to cut off several inches from the long version anyway, essentially turning it into anode rod 415-47776-16 Besides, I'd have to fork over another $45 for the long one that I don't really want. I ask because your site is trying to tell me it'll void the warranty if I buy the short version, which you guys actually recommended I purchase 2 years ago... I just never got around to actually buying it until now (still have the 2 year old notes from our conversation written in my owners manual). So I just need to know if it voids the warranty if I purchase the short version (415-47776-16). Thank you for your time.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffHi Matt, thanks for writing in. The 415-47776-16 will work in model RG250T6N, however typically it is used with 415-47776-19 and cut to length if need be. The warranty would depend on the distributor the unit was purchased from.
