Display Repair Kit, 106217-04

Old unit went blank after 12+ years consistently powered on. New unit also made by Panasonic, turned on immediately when connected and power restored. Fonts are a little different but besides that a complete functional replacement. Will update after several days/weeks of usage, but it's off to a good start. Parts as described and delivered as promised

The display/control panel on my Burnham Alpine ALP105W boiler went blank a few months ago. It lit up but there was no info displayed. I did a serious amount of research to find an exact component match. I found display panels on Ebay but none of them exactly matched my part #. I found an exact match on Supply House but it had a hefty price. I took the bite and ordered the part. It arrived in 4 days. The bad display part was already out so all I had to do was shut down the boiler, plug the dedicated connector into the new panel and restart the boiler to assure myself the display worked properly. Shut the boiler back off, reinstalled the display into the front metal panel and restarted the boiler. That was it. The part was expensive but my labor was cheap. I probably saved a couple hundred on labor by doing it myself.

Needed this in a rush, looked around and Supply house had it at almost 50% less than other sites.

This came a day later than originally promised, but not a big deal for my situation. My furnace was working but the touchscreen had failed and wouldn't recognize any finger commands. The kit had the brackets to secure the screen, took all of 15-20 minutes to replace it with this one. The wiring harness just plugged in and out, then the furnace loaded what it needed to into the screen within a few seconds. It's only been a few days since installing but it seems to be working well! I was quoted $500 for this part plus labor to have a local place to do the work, saved me about $400 ordering from here and doing it myself. I had a little trouble finding the replacement part but I used the Live Chat feature and they found what I needed within a few minutes. Thanks Supply House!

Bought as a spare a couple of years ago and never installed until last week when the original touch screen on the boiler lost calibration (you had to press above and to the left of the desired area on the screen). The replacement display had nicer fonts and would turn off the backlight when idle (power saving maybe). However within 1 week of installation the screen went all black. The backlight was still on, just the entire LCD area was black. Swapped in the old display and everything displayed properly, so it wasn't the main controller board that failed. Very disappointed that a $200+ display failed so quickly.

My sons 09 built alpine boiler display failed but unit ran fine. I urged him to get a new one as without it no trouble shooting could occur . to keep this short upon ordering a display and returning it as it was not the correct one for a 09 version( my fault) . We discovered that there was no 5 volt dc output from the sage controller. IN short Supply house patiently worked with us doing multiple swap out due to us having to buy sage controller and display. Credits showed up very quickly and both purchases are working fine after 24 hours of operation
