Save space, easy to unload, works good

Bought this to replace an old similar Burnham boiler. It is easy to handle, and works good.

Good Boiler, pilot assembly needs work

Used Burnham boilers for over 6 years, and I'm glad to have recently found a well priced source [...] Had trouble getting the pilot to stay lit, originally I thought it was due to windy conditions, but even on wind still days it would go out. Checked the gas pressure [LP], it was correct. Removed the pilot assembly to make sure the orfice was clean, adjusted the pilot flame size, all to no avail. Finally tweaked the thermocouple/pilot assembly plate to bring the thermocouple 1/16" closer to the pilot and that did it, no more pilot going out at random times.Good product and I will continue to use, however maybe quality control could be improved.

Q: Not sure if this comes under Compatibilty. I need a new furnance I got two estimates. One is for a Burnham #203 PI LP Gas Boiler and the other is a Burnham 303 PI LP gas. My house is 1100 Sq. feet. Would like to know if one would be better than the other for heating my house?

Either unit would work as long as they can both meet the BTU requirement of your house. Series 3 units are more efficient than Series 2 models. Series 3 boilers also feature the IQ Control System.

Q: new to boilers this is my first home, I'm looking for a natural gas boiler that can cover 1898 sq ft and three heat zones, name brand burnhan if possible?

Any Burnham boiler can heat three zones if the zones are set up properly. The P203 may be undersized for a house that size, but the only way to be sure would be to determine a BTU requirement. In addition to square footage, climate and the insulation quality play a role in calculating this figure. Our BTU Calculator ( http://www.pexsupply.com/pex/control/BTUCalculator ) can give you a good estimate, but a full heat loss calculation may be necessary.

Q: Why must the chimney be 15 feet high by 4"? If a chimney has a much larger diameter, can it be shorter? Where do you measure from? Top of the boiler or top of the damper, etc.?

We would not advise that you deviate from the manufacturer's recommendations. The 15' length is from the bottom of the draft hood opening to the top of the chimney.
