designed to hold tight to the pipe, transmitting the load to

Used to clamp recessed electrical box
I installed 3 recessed electrical boxes in the brick wall of my house. After removing just enough brick I attached a 1/2 x 5 inch pipe nipple to the box and inserted it into the wall, crawled under my house and used the clamps on the nipples to prevent the boxes from being pulled out of the wall.
Worked perfectly. Clamp measures 9" from end to end. Heavy duty too.
