This backflow preventer is a similar design quality to the "name brand" that worked for 25 years without an issue. Much better than the new design of lesser quality and strength available in big box stores.

Q: Does your BF10101 dual check valve back flow preventer have 1" female pipe threads in one end and 1" female pipe threads in a union on the opposite end? Or will I need to also purchase a 1" brass union?
