ESBE VTC Thermostat Element (131F)
The VTC thermic valves are designed to ensure optimum operating temperature inside a boiler. The thermostat within the VTC allows flow through the bypass until the desired temperature is reached.
The selection range of the thermostat provides a flexibility of the valve installation on either the supply or return piping.
NOTE: Valve body and thermostat are sold separately. Order one valve body and one thermostat to assemble a complete valve.

Giving it a try
We had the associated thermatic valve installed on our bypass loop to our boiler. The plumber used the 140 thermatic element. The purpose of the valve it to raise the temperature going back to the boiler. Since we have radiant floors and snowmelt we would often be sending back too low of a temperature with out this. The reason I switched to the 131 element over the 140 is that the element works over an 18 degree range. So it holds the return to 131 and then starts to close so that all the hot water is going to the system at 149. I thought this would give a faster response time when we were just heating the side arm hot water tank.
