Solenoid Assembly, EP74854

Was fairly easy to replace old solenoid. However, this new purchase seems to just shut down periodically. No waster, no nothing. Wait about 15 minutes and it majically works again.

Unit arrived without damaged, and we'll packed. While it was a bit pricey, go try to buy a penny bubble gum. Fit and function was perfect. Quite satisfied with supply house and will use them again when need arises.

This kit is designed as a replacement for both older valves (mine) and the newer version. There is a bag of in the kit not mentioned in the directions, and for older faucets, you will need both parts. The O-ring going into the adapter leaked, but hiding in this extra bag was a replacement O-ring that did the trick. The sense wire to the faucet was barely long enough and the side of the solenoid that the wire is on had to be orientated facing the faucet for the wire to reach. Another wire wasn't even close to reaching, but there was a long jumper in the bag that solved that. Slower solenoid is nice, but a solid brass unit would have been more in line with the price.

New unit works like new, probably until the chlorine in the water degrades the internal rubber diaphragm over the next few years.
