Description

Delta RP4993 Seats & Springs (Pack of 2)
A genuine Delta replacement seats-and-springs set used to repair drips and restore proper sealing in compatible Delta faucets.

Key Features:
  • Genuine Delta replacement seats & springs kit
  • Pack of 2 (two seats and two springs)
  • Delta notes it is backed by Delta Faucet's Lifetime Limited Warranty

Compatibility & Applications:
  • Intended for use in Delta faucets that use seats and springs as part of the valve sealing system (manufacturer/product description)
  • Commonly referenced for Delta faucets with stainless-steel ball valves in consumer-facing parts information (manufacturer/product description)
  • Must only be used where the manufacturer specifies this exact part number: RP4993

Installation & Operation Notes:
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified plumbing professional, or by an installer experienced with faucet service.
  • Reference the faucet's service/installation documentation for the correct disassembly order and reassembly checks.
  • Typical service practice includes shutting off water supplies and verifying the faucet is fully off and depressurized before opening the valve body (detailed step-by-step instructions are not provided in the supplied sources).

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  • This kit is commonly used when a faucet drips from the spout or does not seal reliably, and worn seats/springs are identified as the cause.
  • If dripping persists after replacement, user experiences frequently point to inspecting related internal valve components (for example, other wear parts in the same valve assembly) and confirming correct seating/orientation during reassembly (model-specific diagnostics are not provided in the supplied sources).

User Reviews & Q&A Summary:
  • Reviews commonly describe it as exactly what was needed to stop a drip and restore normal operation.
  • Multiple users report that replacing the seats and springs can be a quick repair (often described as a short, straightforward job) with "like new" results afterward.
  • A recurring theme is preference for genuine Delta parts over aftermarket alternatives when fixing persistent leaks.

OUTSTANDING VALUE! SupplyHouse-Excellent As Always!!!

This is PERFECT for *older* (~30yo) Delta Valve that is in my tub&shower Both! Unfortunately I didn't know they could be Repaired until recently and could've saved myself about $60 on the previous repair! SUPER EASY to Replace…(FYI-for DIYers) 1. FIRST TURN OFF WATER SUPPLY AND OPEN A VALVE TO RELIEVE PRESSURE! 2. Remove spinning handle—AllenWrench under Solid handle type OR Pop off H/C Cap and use a Phillips screwdriver to remove round "crystal" Handle type. 3.Pull/wiggle off the cosmetic-cover (that Eschtuchion (?Sp?) thingy)Should come off *By Hand*, don't scratch it! 4.Using a large Pipewrench/ChannelLocks carefully Remove the OuterRing (its a collar about 1/2" wide on the Handle Side) ***Righty-Tighty/LEFTY-LOOSEY*** 5.Pull Out the Cartridge (plastic part). *this took a LOT of Gentle wiggling to remove!* Don't Twist It - PULL Straight Out! A little water might drain from showerhead with Cartridge Out. 6.Twist The Body of the Cartridge (it comes apart at the "waist"). You will see the Old seat&spring Looking At You! They pop right out easily. *don't drop New ones down the Drain!* 7. Insert New springs (Larger Side goes IN) then New Seats (only really fits the correct way). 8.Reassemble Cartridge using the same twisting motion that you did during disassembly (don't dump the new parts down the drain like I almost did!) 9.Reinsert Cartridge straight into the valve body *MAKE SURE "H" ON CARTRIDGE IS ON LEFT/HOT SIDE!* making sure the little triangle pointer on cartridge fits into the grove on Valve body! *I used the Valve Ring (Righty-Tighty) to seat the Cartridge!* I used the Wrench to Firmly Tighten the Ring, then Backed it Off a Half-Turn and did the Final-Tightening by hand. 10.Replace Cosmetic-cover…then Handle/Lever…Turn ON WaterSupply! Check For Leaks…Enjoy The Thought that you just saved yourself Sixty Bucks! And SupplyHouse, as usual has Amazing prices/shipping/customer service!

Exactly what I needed

These spring & seal kits are the exact OEM parts I needed to fix our 25+ year old tub faucet. I was sure i wouldn't find the right parts to stop the faucet from leaking. Thank you supplyhouse.com

Just What I Needed!

I ordered these because the off brands do not fit properly or last as long. The order was easy to place and the product was shipped on time and was packaged securely.
