Rare Elbow & Works Great
I had to replace the galvanized water line to my spigot in the backyard. It was parallel to the gas line so I installed two 45 degree elbows diverting away. I put 2 revolutions of William Harvey teflon tape and applied mustard color Rectorseal thread sealant before installing. I was able to hand tightened 1 revolution and about 2 more revolutions with the wrench to line up the angle for the rest of the line. Barring any unforeseen incidents, I'm sure it's going to be there until the next century.

Very Hard To Find
A 45 degree brass elbow is a rare bird but a compact one is a unicorn. I use these to change direction in tight places. Finding a supply of compact fittings is a blessing.
