Fantech's whole House HEPA installs on your home's forced air furnace/air handler or can be used as an independent system mounted in the attic, crawl space or closet. The unit is small, compact and affordable. A powerful 240 CFM fan directs air through a series of three filters then delivers clean, healthy air back into your entire home.
It is designed to clean and filter the total volume of air in an average 2200 sq. ft. house once an hour. Larger homes will take slightly longer for complete air change. Mold spores, pet dander, cooking odors, dust, dust mites and their by-products are all captured in a series of three filters. The prefilter collects the largest particles while the carbon filter absorbs odors. The third filter is a true, certified HEPA filter which has been tested and certified to be 99.97% effective at removing particles down to 0.3 microns.

I have installed these on both furnaces
I bought the first one a few years ago and finally got around to installing it. You'll need a drill, jigsaw, some needle nose pliers, and lots of patience for sheet metal screws. Once installed though these units have definitely kept the air in my house fresher than outside especially on heavy inversion days.

Works great, easy install
Easy to install, works great, very quiet. Only problem was fan noise after initial install. I removed the unit and the bottom sheet metal was bowed in a bit, probably from shipping. I bent it out slightly and the fan freed up and it works like a champ. We can tell the difference in air quality in the house after a week.

Q: what are the size of the filters in this unit? I have another brand of hepa filter system that I am replacing with this one and it appears to be close to the same size. I have had a hard time fing filters for the old system as well without have to special order them which make them very expensive. Thanks

Pre Filter is 13.5 X 16 X 1 (3/4” actual measurement) Charcoal Filter is 15 X15.75 X ½ HEPA Filter is 15 5/8 X 15 7/8 X 1 3/4 Hope it helps !

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe manufacturer does not recommend installing this in an unconditioned space. The 'P' at the end of the part number stands for pressure switch, meaning that the product should be mounted on the return so that it starts when it senses pressure.
