All the controls you need for fresh air.
With only two wires to connect this control is very simple to install. It has three speeds with automatic settings and a manual override with built in timers, which makes it easy to get a little extra fresh air when entertaining guests. The control has indicator lights to see the status of the HRV at a glance and a dehumidistat feature that runs the fans on high speed to help get rid of any musty odors in the house.

Q: I am planning to purchase a HRV system. Is EDF5 compatible with VHR 1404 model? I saw 2 different Fantech catalogues indicate opposite answer. I got confused.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffIt is compatible, according to the manufacturer. The recirculation feature will not work, but everything else will.

Q: I would like to have a programmable schedule for my Fantech HRV. Is there another brand of controller that is compatible with the SHR/VHR Series (variable speeds) and would also let me set HRV to run only during certain times of the day? Or, do I need to use Fantech controller?
