Q: I got the replacement kit 905211. It contains a small envelope with a waxy looking substance. Where does that material go when I install this new kit?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe grease is specially formulated for the o-ring. It prevents it from twisting and binding as the bonnet is threaded down. Applying a small amount on the bronze threads also helps the installation, especially if corrosion is present. It's also protects the o-ring.
