The largest difference between the SWG-5S and the SWG-4S is going to be the size. The SWG4 is for a 4" vent and will be a slightly more compact unit with lower input, while the SWG5 is for a 5" vent, is slightly larger, and has a higher oil input. Unfortunately we do not have the instructions on how to get it apart, but I pulled the information above from the brochure: https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.supplyhouse.com/manuals/1301068875465/51613_PROD_FILE.pdf Additionally, we do have the motor separately, for the SWG-4 models it is going to be part number 46234800, for the SWG-5 models it is going to be SWG-5RMK.
No it does not.
The SWGII is just the older series of these power venters. The SWGII-5 has been replaced with the SWG-5.
No, this power venter is not UL rated. The unit does have ETL approval which is another nationally recognized testing laboratory.
that is the correct replacement, unless yours is the stainless steel model.
yes
Field controls suggests for maintenance to Inspect the motor once a year; it should rotate freely. To prolong the life of the motor, lubricate with six drops of SWG Super Lube, Part #46226200, annually. Use of any other type of lubricant may cause premature motor failure.
This unit is the entire power venter assembly, including the housing.
Take the outside housing off exposing the motor. You will see there are two holes on the top of the motor that is what you are looking for Sent from AdG
The manufacturer has not tested this product with solid-fuels and they do not recommend using it with a coal stove.
