- The Master Flow 12 in. Starting Collar with Damper is suitable for most HVAC applications. It provides a transition from a flat surface like a plenum (made from metal, duct board or insulated) to round pipe or insulated flexible duct. The installed damper helps to control airflow in the run of pipe. This galvanized steel starting collar can be used with duct board, an internally lined or unlined plenum. It features extra-long tabs to fit most duct board thicknesses.
- Connects round pipe or insulated flexible duct to a flat surface to start a duct run
- Fits most HVAC types for universal application
- Extra-long tabs to fit most duct board thicknesses through 1-1/2 in. (or R-6 value)
- Seal seams with code-approved mastic, sealant or duct tape (sold separately)

I needed this product for a project, when it arrived it seemed something was missing, the lever and an additional wing nut, which is needed to tighten down the damper once the position is determined. When I called customer service, they were helpful when I explained the situation. Based on the sites images they agreed. They sent another one free of charge. The 2nd too was missing same thing, lever and additional wing nut. Again I called back, re-explained, they again agreed and this time reached out to warehouse supposedly, left a notation on another order free of charge. The 3rd finally showed up with correct hardware taped to the side of the duct. Idk if that's from manufacturer or they're warehouse but it seems it's falling off or being removed at some point. Delayed my project 2 weeks, very frustrating. Now I have 2 additional 12" starting collar with dampers without the correct hardware.
