Installation & Operation Notes:
- Disconnect power and water supply before service.
- Install the 24-volt solenoid valve per the humidifier's model-specific instructions and wiring diagram.
- Reconnect tubing and check for leaks, then verify valve operation with a call for humidity.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

exact fit
I first purchased a "universal" part from another company because it was a little cheaper. It had the wrong fittings and didn't shut off the water flow when the furnace fan turned off. By the time I paid shipping to send it back, there were no savings.
This valve from PEX was the genuine GeneralAire part and I installed it and had it working in minutes. PEX was much cheaper for the genuine part than anyone else I could find,.

Perfect as stated
This is an exact replacement for the water control valve for my general 1040L humidifier as Stated by other the cheaper replacements from other suppliers just don't do the job. I experienced a loud clang noise when turning the water off and let way to much water flow when on which was a waste.
