Description

Product Overview
The AutoCut copper tubing cutter is a great tool to have when you don’t have enough swing room to use a full size tubing cutter. You can cut copper tubing with less than one inch of clearance. Or you can easily handle close stub-out work.

And it’s quicker than conventional cutters. Just snap it on the tube, close the gate and turn. The cutter wheel automatically tightens as you turn the AutoCut – no knobs to twist. The cutter wheel is spring loaded to provide a constant cutting pressure, so you’ll never accidentally crimp the tubing.

For extra leverage in awkward spaces, you can get a Ratchet Turning Handle. It slides over theAutoCut from either side for maximum ease of operation.

The AutoCut has long lasting hardened steel cutting wheels that are easy to replace when the time comes. Keep all three in your toolbox. Watch out though, they’ll spoil you

Gets the job done, Cuts well

Great for tight spots, will sometimes even grab them when in an open area. Purchased a little over a week ago, have used on some copper installation in a restaraunt remodel and have used installing a gas water heater. So far does great, have used the 3/4 and 1/2, gets through type L in 4 or 5 rotations. Would purchase again, such low cost it's silly not to have them, they center the pipe quicker and smoother than other close cutters (I have owned Milwaukee and Lenox), increases productivity and is a great asset for any plumber that deals with copper.

I would buy this product again if needed.

The product was well worth the money. It nicely fit between two joists and turned easily to cut the pipe. It was a clean cut and as a result, the sharkbite snapped into place with no trouble.

Autocutter

This product is great in small places. Both the half inch version and three quarter size are not as effective on soft copper or any copper harder than type M. On soft copper the first time the cutter is applied to the pipe, a dent is put in the pipe and makes the pipe more oval than round. This makes the Sharkbite style connectors harder to install and more prone to leaking.

Used twice and now it's trash

Was very excited to use this product. I'm a plumber and hate using the manual tensioning cutters so I figured I'll give this a go. First time using this and noticed it would spiral cut down the pipe. Second time it would not cut the pipe completely leaving a small piece still attached.
