Like Gortons, and Supplyhouse!
Tuning up my steam system is ongoing. Been trying to balance with different Gortons. Supply house makes it easy, have everything I need and delivery is super. Had one defective Gorton of the many I've bought and turns out returns are just as easy. Happy customer.

American-Made Quality
Compared to Gorton, the rest are simply junk. This is a domestic part, made the same way for the past 60 years. And I'll best most of the ones installed sixty years ago are still in service. A patented design, these valves just work flawlessly and quietly. We've installed thousands of them with never a problem. If you want the best, here it is...

I have a radiator at the end of the heating line. Two plumbers told me I had the right valve on the radiator, but the kitchen would not heat unless the overall house temp was being raised 8-10 degrees. So I did some research, found this valve and talked to the manufacturer. They very helpfully directed me to Supply House. I bought this valve and PROBLEM SOLVED! So I bought another to have on hand. The item is a very good quality and the speed of shipment was excellent. Perfect item for an older home with a radiator far from the furnace.

Actual body diameter is less than 3" i believe (i no longer live where i installed these)...in the picture shown the threads on the bottom are 1/4" NPT, so that should give you an idea about the size ratio...also, if body diameter is an issue, go with the angled valve if it is being installed directly on a radiator.
