It also allows for external inputs, accommodating various applications such as float switches for tank filling, inlet pressure switches, and moisture detection switches for irrigation.

DO NOT BUY!!
Bought this product and it started leaking after a little over a year. Customer support was horrible. Although it was installed on a municipal water line, they claimed it failed due to dirty water... What a joke, the pump has plastic parts that should be made of metal. Poorly made, it is not worth the initial savings of spending less. I recommend to avoid this pump at all costs!!! Based on the lack of US customer service, I will never buy a Grundfos product again!!!

Yes I would buy this again
I use these a lot. Simple to install, no need for a pressure tank which saves a ton of room. They do have problems and I keep a spare to replace in case one goes down. Parts are fairly easy to find. I have had some for a few years. The older model I have had for about 20 yrs.

This is a good pump if you understand what it does.
I have installed a couple of these including the older model. They are not forever pumps. They will go bad. BUT that depends on your use. If you understand the pumps capabilities and design a system that it works within those numbers then it will last a long time. Its a mid expensive pump with good technology. It doesnt require exterior check valves and the system has a very large turn on/ point so if you have irrigation and house needs that require very different gallon per minute uses, this pump will not cycle on and off all the time

I would have opted for SCALA 2 if properly informed
The warehouse/distribution centers that sell Grundfos booster pumps typically have no technical resources and do not explain the options well for household applications. The fulfillment of this pump was excellent, but I am not happy with the lack of programmability, bypass options, pressure level controls, etc. This pump also gets noisy, and I would like to have a bypass option for needs like filling a toilet tank, when the soft water unit is recharging, etc.

I Was Hisitante About Purchasing This Pump Becuase Of The Negative Reviews Regarding The Leaking Water Connection. I Have Installed Two Diffewnt Modles And Both Have Worked Great. No Issues Thus Far. My Only Complaint Is I Wish They Had Metal Male Connectors Instead Of Plastic

Yes, this pump will boost the water pressure in the home, however, the maximum inlet pressure depends on the head at the actual duty point. The sum of the inlet pressure and the head must not exceed the maximum system pressure.
