great probuct

in its original lead form this product was the best. then the government got involved and decided we are all going to die from it. so they took the lead out. it still worked but not as great. something is better than nothing. now I smell another government rat and swift is no more. had I known this years ago I would have bought cases of the original lead formula. as usual when something works great the government steps in and screws it up. how sad.

I would buy this product again

I am a gunsmith and this product works great to put ribs together, I wish they would not have stopped production.

Solder & Flux combo paste (swif)

used to solder copper plumbing; just prep the copper, paste on both surfaces, insert parts together, and heat adjacent metals until stops bubling and silver flows, then wipe with wet rag to drag the beed. Much easier than paste and solder, and no waste.

SWIF MAKES EASY WORK OF A SCARY JOB

I first used this product in 1980 when I built my house. I had never before sweat a fitting. This product gave me the courage and confidence to take on a whole house. It is fast and easy to use and in the final analysis more cost effective, with hardly any waste. I never had one leak or re-do with Swif Solder & Flux paste. It's almost as easy as gluing PVC pipe.

Self tinning s\paste

A good product for tinning - follow the instructions to keep flame away from the actual paste by heating upstream of it. Makes a nicely tinned end if you do it right.
