I use it to provide water to my Steam Humidifier to get adequate humidity in my home. The product works flawlessly. I will continue to use it and keep it up to date with new filters each year.

Product met my expectations
Read a lot of marginal reviews about this product.
I received and installed the product. Works perfectly with no leaks and an easy install since i was replacing the previous model which had a crack in the housing that leaked.

Try a different brand
The first unit leaked at holding tank and outlet elbow replaced unit leaks at outlet elbow, but can work around that issue with 3/8" hose to reducing connection to 1/4" hose

Not terrible but ...
This unit, as delivered, is very inefficient. It will generate about 7 gallons of waste (brine) for every gallon of useable RO water (permeate). Also, the RO output volume is marginal for handling a TrueSteam HM512. The fill times are very long and may generate an error that the system is "filling too slowly."
Adding a permeate pump and external RO holding tank (with internal bladder) will greatly increase the output when needed and reduce the amount of waste water generated by 50% to 70%. This process is not particularly difficult but adds about $90 to the cost of the system (depending upon where one purchases these parts). This cost will be recovered over time if you pay for your water and sewer. The scale is pretty obvious. Let's say that your TrueSteam uses 8 gallons per day. This will generate about an additional 56 gallons of waste per day. This is 1680 gallons of waste per month to produce 240 gallons of RO water. Adding the permeate pump and holding tank will reduce the waste to between 500 and 800 gallons per month. Also, you won't get the slow fill error messages.
The Honeywell RO is a good device that just needs a little help to make it better. They used to sell it in this configuration with the pump and tank but unfortunately discontinued that model. Not a good move for being green.
Having an RO feeding your TrueSteam will save a lot of service and parts replacement on the TrueSteam unit. I feel that the RO is an absolute must if you have hard water like most of us do. Test your water to see whether this unit meets your requirements based upon your water supply. This may not be sufficient if your water hardness is really extreme.
One final note, be sure to set the DIP switches on your TrueSteam unit so that the flush cycles are set to using an RO. On the HM512, DIP switches 1 and 2 (left two switches) are both set to ON (up position). Check your installation manual. This reduces the number of flush cycles per day as appropriate for using RO water.

Do not buy this product
This product will not work alone. It needs more equipment to work properly. That means it will cost you more than you are expecting to spend. I installed it and found it needs more parts. Supply House will not let you exchange anything used.

Good product, great service from Supplyhouse.com
This is a good product. I really need it for my humidifier to operate properly. The first unit came defective. Supplyhouse.com were great at handling the return and shipping out a new unit. Very happy with the service!
Q: when buying replacement filters and pricing, does "each" mean each filter, or each complete set of three per unit?
